Speculation grows, is Yeppoon the next Byron Bay?

There has been growing speculation with the theory that has been around for a couple of years now, suggesting the Yeppoon is the next Byron Bay.  As a result of changes to the Byron Bay property market as celebrities leave town and prices plumet. Yet Yeppoon continues to grow in popularity.

Natalie the Principle of @ Real Estate on the Beautiful Capricorn Coast, would argue that “Yeppoon and the Capricorn Coast is actually far superior to Byron Bay in many ways; We are ideally located on the southern Great Barrier Reef, on the Queensland coast, Keppel Bay boasts 13 glorious islands and plenty of reef to explore, easily accessible from the mainland, a diverse range on natural beauty and habitats from coastal to the rainforest of Byfield, great, camping, four wheel driving, fishing and boating and so so much more. The Yeppoon beachfront with the Keppel Kraken and Lagoon, the marina, not to mention our genuine friendly locals, and highly desirable year-round climate, strong and diverse economy and affordable house prices with plenty of opportunity to future growth.”

Furthermore, in March 2022 the average sale price on the Capricorn Coast was around $581 000 and is now $683 000, that’s a massive 14% increase over the last 12 months.  Over the last 3 months, 71% of all @ Real Estate sales have been for full list price or more.  21% of @ Real Estate sales have been off market, demonstrating strong buyer demand.

Instead of suggesting Yeppoon is the next Byron Bay, let’s get real and embrace that Yeppoon is better than Byron Bay.
