HOW DO I KNOW IF I CAN CUT THE TREES DOWN?

It is actually very simple to request a free vegetation map using the Queensland Government website.  Before you begin you will need a lot on plan number, which can be found on your council rates notice or you can contact your favourite real estate agent and they will be able to look it up for you.

Follow this link to request a map or report https://www.dnrm.qld.gov.au/qld/environment/land/vegetation/vegetation-map-request-form. Simply select the type of report you want, enter the lot and plan numbers and your email address. The map or report will then be emailed to you as a PDF, free of charge. The map will come with information and a  legend outlining the level of protection of each colour / area.
